About This Invention

The Necessity

Studies have shown that eyeglasses are among the items most frequently lost. In fact, the Pixie Lost & Found survey reports that, 27% of the subjects said that eyeglasses are among the items they most often lose.  Other commonly lost items are TV remotes (45%), phones (33%), car & house keys (28%), shoes (24%), and wallets/purses (20%).  It must be noted that seniors lose things more frequently than the younger generation. So how do they find their lost glasses, or, whatever they lost? They purchase a device controlled by a smartphone made to find lost items. But many seniors do not have smartphones nor do they have adequate computer skills to manage the device. How will they benefit from such a "techy" device? Welcome The OctoFinder.

The Invention

With this invention, our seniors could, by the push of a button, activate an alarm and a flashing light attached to their lost item.  Then they can follow the sound to what they lost.  Once they are near the device, they can then use the light to pinpoint the exact location of the item.

The Benefit

Now, our seniors don't need a smartphone to find what they lose.  They can use this device, that is controlled by just one simple button.  Now our seniors can wear their glasses wherever they want without fear of losing them and not finding them again. They can carry and use whatever they want without fear of losing it.
